Default Spacey and Confused!

Hello Dear Friends here on the forum

I have been meditating for 4 months without any entrainment programs. I did so by just focusing on my breath and being really aware of it. I have been against these programs as I have seen them as "unnatural" and I didn't want to get attached to them, However I have now taken the plunge as I figured it would be a pity to not use technological advances if they can truly help us

Here is my question however:

When I use the life flow 10 I sit down, put on my headphones and focus on my breath. When I meditate without life flow I always feel happy, clear and focused afterwards.

However after the life flow sessions (have done 2 now) I feel really spaced out, have no emotions at all, am really confused and don't feel like doing anything! I can't really describe the feeling better than this. Any thoughts on this guys?

Hi Mateo...

I can't really comment on your "spaced out" feeling. But one solution might be to use LifeFlow for half your meditation -- then, once you reach a low level, finish it on your own.

There is a wonderful free player, called Audacity, which you can download. With it, you can set any tape at any length. For instance, if you have a one-hour CD, but only 40 minutes for your meditation, it will stop after 40 minutes.

I don't know how long your sitting is, but you can always set Audacity to "cut out" halfway through. In my own case, I often meditate on my own, after LifeFlow ends.

It's just a suggestion. You might be wise to experiment with timelengths. Anyway, it is extremely easy to manage, with Audacity.

Best of luck...
