If you read my intro this is how I used to do it. Lately I have been doing a half lotus...thingy (I'm not very flexible). I noticed when laying down I would get into a far deeper state and I would feel more energy. With sitting up I still feel it but I guess I'm not as relaxed, my back will start burning after 10-15 minutes. The only negative I've seen is you may fall asleep which I don't have that problem and if I do fall asleep I probably need it. My only problem is laying down is when I had my "experience" so for a few weeks after I would subconsciously associate trying to sleep with meditation and it would be hard to sleep. I'm thinking about trying to lay on the floor instead next time. Have any of you tried this way? Thoughts? Please share.
