Hi Sal,

If you are ever in South Devon, come and visit! I guess I got into self development because I had got into a very negative way of thinking, after many traumas over a very long period of time. I knew I had to do something to change my pattern of thinking, and it wasnt until I saw the DVD of 'The Secret' that I started to find the way to do it.

One thing led me to another along the self development path, and eventually to LF. I do generally think positively now, but there is a depressive streak in my family, and I do have to push myself to overcome this, especially in the awful greyness of the last three summers!

LF 10 and 9, have certainly helped to calm me, but I still can't get into LF8. I have listened to it a number of times now, and I still find the flute, bamboo or otherwise, very distracting. I do think it has to do with my perfect pitch, sometimes a blessing, other times, not so! I was asked to play at a concert when I was only 11 years old- only an old people's Christmas 'do', so not exactly Carnegie Hall!- but the piano was a whole tone out. I couldnt play a note! I could hear all the notes in the wrong place, and simply couldnt get my fingers to play them. So I can only assume it is something to do with the way my ears hear the notes- the flute does not bring up any negative emotions that I can recognise, just seems that the actual sequence of notes spoils my enjoyment of the rest of the track.

Hi Heather and Sal
I've sometimes found the soundtracks to various LF levels distracting, including LF8. What can work is to turn the volume way down so that it's barely audible. The entrainment still works that way. If any irritation still arises, you can use that as just another thing to observe...the thought, the emotion and the accompanying feeling in the body. Sometimes by doing that you can go really deep - just resting in the space in which all that plays out. The so-called distractions tend to fade out...insignificant as they really are in the light of that vastness.

You also may find that later, going back to LF levels that once irritated you, that you actually enjoy them. That happened to me with LF 8!

The best thing is to not take the mind's objections too seriously.

Default Lifeflow 8

I, too, absolutely hate LifeFlow 8. If the track with the pipes on it weren't so loud, it would be bearable, but the pipes are so loud and piercing that I can't stand it. If you have to have those pipes in there, couldn't that track have a lesser volume?

I really like track 8 and find the music quite relaxing. Years ago I had an autogenics relaxation program that used similar meditation music in the background. Reminds me of spending time in a Japanese garden.

I've been looking for something with a similar sound for a long time. Thanks for making this available!
