Yes, the sound quality of MP3's cannot be the same as that produced on CD and the downloaded file sizes are obviously going to be smaller than what would be produced as a WAV file (uncompressed sound data) from a CD. However, that fact doesn't detract sufficiently from the quality of what we hear and has no effect on the entrainment beats due to the lower frequencies of them (see my post above).
The downloads are just as good as if you were to buy the CD's and you won't notice any difference if you were to try both.
