Question Similitarities and differences?

I've began using the life flow meditation CD's that were free and one of the things that I noticed is that the process of learning this meditiation is similiar too when I learned TM. It's like checking myself which I had not done for years. What are the differences between the two systems? This does feel good to me though.

I believe the purpose of meditation is going within to the space in each of us that is peaceful, still and beneath the multitude of busy distracting thoughts. To rest in this place a little each day creates so many immediate and long term benefits.

This sanctuary and healing place is within each and every one of us, however in the hectic society we live in it seems long forgotten even though it is the most natural thing we can do to improve our emotional, spiritual and physical well being.

T.M. and Discover Meditation both use a mantra and beyond that, the difference for me is that one is free and the other about 2,500 dollars. T.M. perform an initiaton type ritual and choose your mantra according to your age and sex although they tell you it has been personally chosen for you.

I personally discovered this because a number of years ago members of my family of different sexes and ages checked out the given mantra's some years later and found it to be correct.

Discover Meditation has the extra's of the gratitude exercise and the meditation timers.

The process of both T.M. and Discover Meditation can be dramatically speeded up with LifeFlow audio technology.

Hope this helps you and I wish you peace and joy on your journey of self discovery

Smile Big T Differences. Thanks Pollyanna

I appreciated your response. I will continue to keep my mantra from
TM but find the Discover technique takes me there faster. I did pay some money but not the $2500.00 but that was over 30 years ago. I have been blessed to reach the bliss state a couple of times over the years but now recognize that I have to do some cldeaning meditations due to my job and accumulated stress to return to that level. I hope to hear more from you and others in the future who may have reached that state sometime in their experience.

excellent reply Pollyanna !

Most meditations that use mantra's are the same, with minor differences.
Since I was interested in Zen before I joined Project Meditation, I have tried Zen meditations combined with LifeFlow, and it works just as well as using a Mantra. As long as your body is in a meditation state, LifeFlow will work !
