Default Using Life Flow demo

Hi, to everyone. I'am using Life Flow demo for last couple of days. Started with 5 minutes and adding 1minute everyday. Today I felt that I'am reaching deep state and felt scared because of all sensations. I meditated only for 8 minutes. My back and palms sweated and in back I felt tingling like someone is crawling. Maybe someone is familiar with these sensations and can explain more? I hope it's not Kundalini.

Hi Domas,

There are myths around kundalini that make people think that it's something drastic that happens. The truth is that kundalini energy rising happens to us periodically anyway, though sometimes the energy rising is greater and the effects more noticable. It's possible it could be kundalini rising that you experienced, but it's not thing to fear.

Without looking at your previous posts, I can't recall what experience of meditation you already have, so I'll answer as if you are new to meditation....

The main thing to note is that it is normal to experience different things each time you meditate. Some of those things may seem pleasurable, and some may feel painful/anxious etc. Whatever you 'feel', these are just sensations through the mind and cannot harm you (though if you find it too uncomfortable, it's ok to stop and meditate again later).

One recommendation when you experience something is to just let your awareness fall on it, and when you do this you will typically find it will dissolve and you can then bring your awareness back to your mantra or whatever tool you use to meditate with.

In terms of lifeflow, when you're new to using it, it is said that the benefits only start to take effect after about 7 or 8 minutes. This may manifest itself during the meditation as sensations, but that's ok, as it's an indication that it's starting to rewire the brainwaves, and any sensations you experience will go with time and experience.

Stick at it, and let is know if you're still experiencing the same issues, or if the issues change or dissappear.

Hugs

Giles

I believe that Kundalini rising takes some time. I think that was just simple sensation because body just relaxed. Can I use just one word mantra such as Love, peace? P.s. GilesC, I appreciate Your help. You know answers to all questions. You helped alot to me and others. You're very interesting (in good way) and kind.

Hi Domas,

Kundalini rising can be quick or slow... it depends.

I found this a very good book on kundalini...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kundalini-Ch.../dp/0875425925

You can use a one word mantra for meditation, that's fine. Personally I would say to choose something that has a 'sound' to it, rather than a word you know, because a word you know will cause thoughts about that word to arise within the mind, whereas a sound is less likely to have as many associations. If you try one and it's doesn't work as well as you like, you can always change it, but try and stick with one for a while to see if you settle into using it first.

Hugs

Giles
