A couple questions... is that "heartbeat" on all the soundtracks? Is that actually the binaural beat?

Yes, that's the entrainment beat. Not only does it sound different on each LifeFlow track, but it actually seems to disappear -- and then reappear -- from time to time. From session to session, actually.
Maybe that's just a subjective impression. I've always been curious about it. But apparently the binaural beats don't actually "exist", as such. Your brain actually "creates" them, after processing the two separate beats which reach the left and right ears.
Very interesting phenomenon. I had never thought of using the beats instead of a mantra. In my case, I tend to lose all consciousness of the LifeFlow tracks for quite long periods. But everyone's meditation is as individual as his fingerprints. So, if it works for you...sounds perfect to me.
