I think it would be fine to link right to this post. I'm sure Michael wouldn't mind.

I would just right a short note introducing yourself, state your purpose & give date and times.

Gus

I just want to do this in a way that would get their attention and take it seriously. I'll just give them Michael's email address, if there's a particular email address I should give them, please let me know.

I will ask them to participate in a group meditation for world peace much like the one they always started their 'A New Earth' classes out with.

It will be over three time zones:

20.00 EDT (New York, USA)

20.00 GMT (London, UK)

20.00 EST (Syndney, Australia)

September 21, 2008

Anything else? I will wait a little for suggestions and then send it tonight.

One thought that comes to me is whether it would be better to leave out the part about "just like the one they started the classes with" because people might take it literally. If I remember, that meditation was more a brief exercise to come into the present moment. If we leave it open ended then people can do their own spiritual practices... visualize, send energy, pray, chant - whatever is their way to wrap the world in peace and love.

...Or you could say something like "much like the one they started the classes with but with a focus on sending good vibrations out to all...

I don't mean to nitpick but I think words are important

By the way, I think it's lovely the way everyone is taking steps to make this thing happen! Bravo!

Smile Inspiration for Our World Peace Meditation

I just listened to a remarkable interview with Gregg Braden at this site:
Interview with Gregg Braden

Gregg is a scientist who's studied ancient texts and living indigenous groups in order to understand what's happening to our world and the stresses that we all face. He first talks about planetary shifts but then goes on to elaborate on the power that human consciousness plays in creating our world. He continues with what he calls the Isaiah Effect which ties into our Peace Meditation of September 21! (around 16:50 minutes into the talk.) He relates the TM experiments in the 70's where people were asked to feel the feelings of peace, and how crime went down (also related in What the Bleep Do we Know) He goes into it in much greater detail with the "International Peace Project" an experiment done during the Lebanese/Israeli war, and how even a small number of people can make a measurable difference.

I think many of us here in this community understand that we're all energetically connected in some way but it's a delight to hear someone explain that scientifically! If you have 29 minutes, or even just 10, this is an inspiring talk!

I like the idea and want participate. What I have to do? I don't know how to send high vibrations. I am new to meditation but it is a wonderful idea to meditate for peace.

I usually do it by meditating on the chakras, it's very easy, you can read about it here:

Opening the Chakras

I ususally send light to people that I love through the yellow chakra located at the solar plexus. Imagine the yellow chakra slowing turning and glowing, then imagine rays of light filling you up and radiating from you aimed at your loved ones.

In our meditation on Sunday, you can send light to people in your neighborhood, your town, your state, America and then all of the world.

I find peace meditating on the chakras while using my meditational levels.

Learn the colors and the location of your chakras and incorporate it during your sessions. You might like it.

Love,

GG

And if chacra meditation isn't your thing, simply telling yourself before meditation that you are going to meditate one extra time that day for one purpose only: to create a worldwide conciousness of peace ( You are peacefull and calm during meditation, so that will affect the world anyway ).

Then simply meditate the way you like best, or if you took the free course, meditate the way Michael taught you

Aside you, there are (hopefully) hundreds or even thousands more meditating at the same time, all of you together will make a difference, not just by meditation itself, but also by living more peacefully as a result of your meditations.

People hardly realise how much difference one can make if becoming peacebringers.

If you can get to a place where you are feeling the peace, and/or love and compassion then you can just extend out that feeling to embrace the world. Or as GG said, you can use visualization and picture the world surrounded by light and love – yellow, pink, whatever seems right. Just let your imagination guide you.

If you’re not in that state, some people use prayer. You can recall how so many people are suffering and generate a wish to help them out of compassion. Again, I use my inner guidance to lead me. Sometimes I start with prayers I know:

Buddhist : May all beings be safe
May all beings be happy (spiritual awakening)
May all beings be healed
May all beings live with ease

Vedas : Om...lead us from untruth to truth, from darkness to light,
from death to immortality (ie. spiritual enlightenment)
May all beings find peace, within and without

Then I say whatever comes to me, eg, may we all be filled with love and compassion. May we extend kindness to everyone we meet. May our leaders be divinely inspired and lead the way to peace. May generosity awaken every heart. May we love and cherish our planet...

Most of the time I do this silently, though saying it or chanting it out loud can be very powerful. There's probably many many ways to do send peace. You just have to experiment to find the way that works for you.

Whatever you do with sincere intention will surely help the world and yourself.
