Red face Group meditation

I am fairly new to Lifeflow, although I have meditated at different times in my life and used to do a lot of yoga. Today my neck is rather stiff as doing the Lifeflow stimulated me in other areas of my life and I decided to get back into the yoga! I must be more gentle with myself, still I am pleased that the meditation provided me with the motivation to do it, and I am so much more peaceful since doing the free meditations Michael offers, I am now meditating twice a day, it is so good that Michael is offering this out to everyone. I would like to buy the downloads, but missed out on the reduction offer as the payment page would not go through. Perhaps it was not meant to be! I am doing OK with the freebies!

Anyway, I think the group meditation is a brilliant idea, but like others thought about the different time zones, perhaps we could have 3/4 group meditations in one day and different people do their group meditation when it is good for them, then we all really have a chance to join in and make the world a better place!

This is a great website, I have got so much inspiration from you all, and I also bought 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle last week and see Michael recommends him, the universe works!

Keep smiling through xx
I love this quote:
"Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It's a way of entering into the quiet that's already there--buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day". Deepak Chopra

I have also begun to do practice yoga again. Somehow it holds different meaning for me now too. I can't really explain it either.

This is really great, people are responding now !

Mind you, it doesn't matter what type of meditation you do, if you are a beginner or long time meditator, if you have bought LifeFlow or not...
What matters is that we are willing to meditate for peace !

About the timezone's, it would be wonderfull to all meditate at exactly the same hour around the world. Unfortunately, I don't think it can be done, as undoubtedly there will be one person having to meditate at 3 am in the morning. Sounds like a don't to me.
So I was thinking, if we all meditate at a globally set time, we would meditate together for only one hour on a 24 hour day.
For effectiveness this would mean a short but extremely usefull meditation, but it's effects will wear off soon I think.

If we would agree to meditate for one hour on a set time at local time, this might even work better. This would mean that for an entire day, every hour of the day there will be somebody on the planet meditating for peace !

We could even agree on times to make sure that every hour is covered for an entire day !
This would be like a "meditation for peace" marathon !

What do you guys think ?

Default time and date

Like you mention Edwin, time is of the essence if it is to be tied in with 10'000 members.

I personally think that 3 set times would work well. 3 evening slots may be good?

I believe the membership will hit 10'000 members Saturday 13th. So how about we go for Sunday 14th?

My recommend is for these time slots:

20.00 EDT (New York, USA)

20.00 GMT (London, UK)

20.00 EST (Syndney, Australia)

If we all agree on these times I will put an email together and email the whole list of members asking them to choose a time slot and join in.

Perhaps some members will join all three with it falling on Sunday?

I will also run a press release for Saturday morning explaining what we are doing! Hopefully this will attract many more meditators Worldwide to join in.

Great idea Edwin! Please confirm time and date so I can send emails!

Michael

Exclamation September 21st

UPDATE:

As world peace is so important I think we should go for Sunday, September 21st to allow us all time to spread the word to all meditators worldwide.

I will run a press release in good time to enable people to make plans and commit to this important event.

Michael

Smile TIme Zones

One thing that I've done with another spiritual group I belong to is that we devoted one day to a peace meditation by having everyone sign up to "cover" a certain time period during that 24 hours. We could choose a certain date - September 30 as an example - and ask people to write in, tell us their time zone and commit to meditating for an x amount of time that day or night.

It would be fabulous if we could have at least a few people sending out peaceful vibrations during the whole 24 hours. But whatever way we do it, I think we could have impressive numbers. It would be a great thing for LF and it could only benefit others.

Another idea is that we could have different people share their methods for sending out healing vibrations. People could do their regular meditation and then add this component at the end. In this way, people would have a chance to broaden their spiritual practices to include this kind of spiritual generosity - sharing the peace

And speaking of generosity, Michael that was a very generous offer you made to offer copies of your CD's. Does anyone have an idea of how that could be organised - who would get them...the 10,000 person to join as Edwin suggested? Or someone worthy who was working with people who were 'disadvantaged'? or ???

It's wonderful that so many are writing in ideas on this.

In Peace
Bhavya

Oh, I see we were all writing at the same time!
I agree that Sept 21 is better to give time to organize
I think we should encourage people to do a peace component
If those time slots don't fit with people's schedules, I think any time during that day or night would be good

And I just thought of one other good thing - September 22 is the Autumnal Equinox - the time when day and night are equal. Since we're sending peace, we're increasing the "light" around the world which will help those of us living in the northern hemisphere!

Default What a wonderful celebration.

I think this is a wonderful idea. Maybe we could place posters in libraries, churches, mosques, synagogues, shopping malls etc. as soon as possible. Let as many different groups know and invite them to take part on the 21st September. Even if people don't meditate they could offer their prayers for peace and harmony for this beautiful world we live in. Wow, what spiritual energy we could all create together for the highest good
