"Who am I ?" Meditation this sunday
Ok, this session is going to be a little different.
I want everybody who is going to try this, to post here. DON'T TRY WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME !
This meditation can be very powerfull. People have responded very differently over the years. Some simply say " Is this all ? "
Others can have the feeling that their life is turned completely upside down. Some even may experience spasms or uncontrollable body-movements.
It is the shortest route towards enlightenment. If you feel you are not ready, you probably aren't. You might just fail anyway.
Disclaimer:
In some occasions, people might need professional spiritual guidance afterwords. Some people just aren't prepared for this change. If this is the case with you, don't worry, it is a healing process. You have simply done what Tolle writes about. Gotten rid of the ego's power over you. With some guidance, you will learn to give the shattered ego the rest it deserves.
If this hasn't scared you off yet, please read this :

Taking a step into the world of our Being
Or better yet, read the entire thread:
Link 2:
Taking a step into the world of our Being
Try the excercise in Link 1.
Take it easy, don't strain anything. try to remain calm.
And report back to me afterwords. If you have doubts or need more help, I am here for you.

Oh, I forgot,
I think it is not wise to do this excercise when you have had to process painfull or traumatic experiences in your life's past. The really heavy ones, like child abuse, or death of a parent at young age.
This could all be released at once during your realisation, and that could be a bit too much to handle for you. If you still would like to do this exercise, do it with a trained teacher, preferrably a Zen, Advaita/Yoga or chakra master.
Also someone with FreewayCER, Reiki or EFT experience can be of great help during your realisation, like GilesC.
On the other hand, if you have had a fairly normal life, don't expect too much of it. You might even be disappointed by the results at first. Don't expect to suddenly be in perfect bliss, or have really amazing experiences. You will only view life a bit differently, that is all.

hoi edwin,

Lol
You mean you can't read this ? I am frankly quite disappointed that you didn't have the courtesy to learn our language, I did with yours !
 Just kidding of course.
Arvind had a personal message for me, but PM isn't activated on this forum. Not a real secret, he is interested in the meditation session, but has some issues he didn't want to spread across the net.
I told him my MSN adress so he can chat with me.
That's about it really

It never ceases to amaze me how similar your language is to a combination of German and English. Maybe it should be called Engman? Not so good, I know, but then the alternative is Germlish, and that really doesn't sound appealing!

Well I had wondered what you were talking about when I saw this word:
I thought you may be saying that the best way to meditate is to down a bottle of whisky.

That's an interesting point. Why is that?
On the forum I moderate on, we have it set up so that new members can't PM until they come off their initial moderation period. This allows us to ensure spammers don't get a chance to do anything behind the scenes.
Would be nice to be able to PM on here occasionally.
Hugs
Giles

Hehe been busy last days, so missed your posts guys !
Ta-Tsu-Wa, history has always been very interesting to me.
Up until halfway 1700, English and Dutch ( and German for that matter ) were very similar. There was a huge exchange in both goods as well as words
The Netherlands have had influences by trade, but also the fact that the Netherlands as we know it today had been constantly taken over by other country's.
Parts of the current Netherlands have been:
German, Austrian, Spanish, French, Swedish, Italian ( Romans ) and when not in war with them, we traded with England and even had a Dutch ruler on the English throne.
The Dutch are a people willing to adapt to other country's. In school we learn English, German and French as standard languages.
Giles, scottishbooze is part of my MSN name. My online gaming name has been WhizKey for many years. Unfortunately, that name was allready taken for hotmail, so scottishbooze was more logical. And yes, I am a big fan of single malt. But Whiz - Key is also an appropriate name for a locksmith I think
