When beginning meditation all sounds are annoying. If you concentrate on your mantra/breath or another method you will become aware that sound is sound. It arrives and goes, just like thoughts.
One of the paradoxes of meditation is the while you want to meditate to become calmer and more relaxed the annoying triggers that get to you during the day, will initially (and sometimes when you’re very experienced too) get you during meditation, the trick is allowing to be what is.
The water sounds are a mask to hide the beats, relax in to the sounds of the water and allow it to flow through you. Soon the water becomes the background and you will not notice it. Fight it and you'll be swimming up river...
Have the volume low to begin with.
