It is so very hard to understand in the beginning.
We have so much baggage to carry.
We start out with an empty suitcase and as we go through life we have certain experiences and we stuff a part of each experience in our suitcase. This is how we interpret our rode map of reality; with the contents of our suitcase. We look at a situation and wonder how to react. If we don't know how to react we look in our suitcase and find something familiar to use or hide under.
Now we feel safe.
Changing our road map of reality involves opening that suitcase, taking these articles (ideas and experiences) and looking at them with new eyes; seeing in them that which makes each one a crutch or contact to the past thinking that kept us where we were/are.
We then throw away the ones that are destructive, negative or no longer useful. This leaves us vulnerable to what lies before us but at the same time we are lighter because we have left some baggage behind.
We look at old ideas differently and more importantly we look at the future with new eyes.
We learn to accept the blessings which lay before us as well as give blessings to others. . . We can do that now . . . We can be a blessing to each person we meet because we are open to a new force. This force has always been there we merely didn't think we needed it, in many cases, didn't think we deserved it.
Thank You Pollyanna for being patient with all of us here and hanging out and continually being the call to action that so many of us need to see the light. Your patience is admirable. I will be forever grateful for all you've done here on the forum. Being a voice for change can be a lonely place.
Blessings to all,
gus
