On one hand, if you have limited believesand you are unsure about your goals,or unsure about yourself, this technique might enhance your believes and create more faith. So it might be good to use this as affirmations . On the other hand, I remain in the asking mode and have not much faith in the allowing to take place( taking your attention away from not having what you want) this means you will never reach this ''receiving.procedure”.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to say here. Can you please rephrase it?
As I was saying though, you may go on and practice the techniques given in SGR and count that as your time of trying to 'improve' your life. Then, once you are done, you should go back to practicing being present each and every moment. Practicing presence is not only helpful in becoming enlightened, but it is also helpful in working with the law of attraction. In practicing being present, you will learn to accept things as they are and enjoy each moment, which in turn, will keep you from focusing on lack like you were talking about.
The whole idea of lack is just a creation of the mind anyways. Eckhart Tolle says to "focus on this moment and see what problems you have." You won't have any problems when you are completely present because problems are created by the mind (or ego or whatever you want to call it). When you are not lost in your mind your 'problems' (such as lack) won't exist either.
