I agree with you Pollyanna. I think gratitude is a powerful way to begin a meditation session. I like to thank all the people and circumstances that have brought me to the spiritual path and to remember that there are so many beings who don't have the knowledge or opportunity to develop in the way most of us have here in this forum. This can be very motivating because it can remind us that if we develop spiritually we can help others much much more effectively!

And of course it's good to end this way as well, giving thanks and sharing the good vibrations with others.
