TMTM (Transcendental Meditation) is the largest meditation movement in the western world. It was brought to us by the famous Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Maharishi became popular by introducing the 60’s rock band ‘The Beatles’ to meditation. The TM movement is a multi billion dollar operation and charges students as much as $2500 to learn meditation through them. If you are considering learning meditation you should strongly consider whether you want or need to spend this amount of money when there are many alternatives to be found. TM teach a simple mantra meditation and it is very effective if you have the discipline to practice daily. At first, this type of mantra meditation can seem a little boring but after a few weeks of practicing it becomes easy and meditators seem to begin experiencing the benefits. If you are looking to learn a meditation method very similar to the TM method, you should consider trying this free audio meditation course. This course is also a mantra meditation and it has been professionally recorded and is extremely pleasant to listen to. |
